The number of outer sanctum changed with the introduction of the dark and nature Sanctums in update 41. The Sanctumįirst released in Update 37 ( Dec 2019), Sanctum consists of several outer sanctums and an inner sanctum, each with a specific single element with monsters fixed to that element. Like always, many thanks to my friends and guildmates for supplementing me with much-needed information for this post. Fortunately, I managed to come out inspired ( and motivated) to finally write this entry. The deal breaker was when the Dark Sanctums released in update 41 and that was then that I decided to go all the way to clear all stages of Inner and Outer Sanctum for the first time and mostly in a single sitting. As such, I was mainly clearing a few stages of the Outer Sanctum to build up these element-specific sets. To give a bit more context, I procrastinated on this Sanctum post because my water and nature gears were not as strong as my other gear types. It will also talk about what items you might potentially obtain at the end of the run. The post will also detail what resources you would need if you plan to finish the entire thing in one go. In this first segment, we’ll cover the fundamentals of how Sanctums work and what to expect.
